It's that time of the year when it's too cold to go out in the garage,
and much thought is given to what to do next season (2010).
There is a Brand New Six Round Series starting for GP two strokes, designed
to cover all apects of two stroke racing motor cycles up to 1990. There will
be seperate classes as follows:
250 cc Up to 1984 including TZ 250 N
250 cc 1985-1990
350 cc and over, with a seperate class championship for 500 and 750 if there
is enough support from the larger capacity machines.
The regulations are designed to be Permissive rather then restrictive and get
lots of bikes out there, so there is only one restriction, no upside down forks.
Other then that there is free choice of wheels, brakes and chasis, no restrictions
on reed valves or power valves.
Series promoted through BMCRC and New Era.
6 Rounds provisionaly as follows:
Silverstone, N/Era April 25th
Mallory Pk, N/Era May 31st (Bank Holiday Monday)
Brands Hatch, BMCRC July 24th and 25th.
Cadwell Pk. BMCRC August 14th and 15th
Snetterton BMCRC TBC September 4th and 5th?
Cadwell Pk. N/Era Oct 2nd and 3rd

Hi,
Is this restricted to "pukka" GP bikes, or can converted road bikes/replica's play? (ie Sparton/ns400r/gt550 etc?)
Thanks.

Hiya,
Initialy it is for genuine GP bikes, although genuine formula two bikes, that is a tuned road engine
in a GP or Racing bike frame will be admissable. No upside down forks, No V Twins, They are too 'modern'. They can run with New Era as a modern bike I think Class 4 Covers it.
All you have to do is register the bike with Mick Stokes at the TZ owners club, give me your email address on here and I can send you the form.
New Era and BMCRC are offering day membership at £ 5.00 per meeting, although New Era, have a two strokes class which covers just about everything, so you could join New Era and do Six Meetings with them including the TSGP, and then do another three with BMCRC, which would make quite an interesting season.
Good Luck, tell all your freinds,
Hope to see you out there.
